The Peak Evolution Team<\/strong> has indeed achieved a new world record for purely electrically powered vehicles, reaching an altitude of 6500 meters<\/strong>. On December 3, 2023, this height was attained at the extinct volcano Ojos del Salado in Chile using a specially equipped vehicle, an AEBI VT450 Vario<\/strong> with an electric continuously variable transmission.<\/p>\n

We take pride in having contributed to this remarkable success<\/strong><\/em>. The propulsion system, consisting of an adapted VTP450 transmission with two electric motors, as well as the transmission and vehicle control, were customized in close collaboration to meet the specific requirements of the Terren vehicle. We are pleased and relieved that this propulsion system has proven itself excellently even under extreme operating conditions.<\/p>\n
